The Pine Valley Golf Club is known to have one of the oldest golf courses in the US. It is located in southwestern New Jersey, in Pine Valley, Camden County. Even though this club is considered private, once you become a member you will be able to invite non-members as guests to accompany you and play on this amazing course.
The Camden County town is situated just 20 miles from south Filadephia and only has 23 houses and no public roads. Mail will be delivered to residents only by the club.

The club itself holds to its traditions so strongly that it wasn’t until April 30, 2021, that it got rid of all of its gender-restricted rules. Up until this date, women were not allowed to play on this course aside from Sunday afternoons. They were also forbidden from becoming members, a restriction that was also lifted on this date.
The golf course found in the Pine Valley club is able to place consistently among the best golf courses in the US. You can find it both in The Golf Digest biennial list of America’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses of 2019-20 and 2021-22.
Golf Magazine also places it in the top 100 golf courses in the US over and over again. Pine Valley managed to get on this list in the years 2012, 2015, 2019, and 2020.

Pine Valley Golf Membership
Although the actual member list is a secret, we were able to find that the Pine Valley Golf Club has over 930 members. Among the most popular confirmed members, you’ll find Robert Jay Siegel, Ben Crenshaw, Gary Player, and world-renowned player Arnold Palmer. Sean Connery and late President George H.W. are also part of the club’s history.
Pine Valley is considered the second most exclusive golf club in all of the United States and this is why you won’t be able to simply apply as a member. Instead, if the club wants you to become a member, then someone from the board of directors will get in touch with you. This is also when you will be able to find out the actual cost of the membership.
Not only is de Pine Valley very private, but the town itself will make it impossible for just anyone to get a residence. Only members of the club will be able to buy a home there and it won’t be cheap to do so.
In terms of the initiation fee and annual expenses, people have contradictory opinions. Most of the voices seem to agree that the annual fees are higher than $10,000, while the initiation fee is said to be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.
